Enjoy Early Summer! Underwater Sea Walk in the Famous Snorkeling Spot
Hello everyone! This is Maeshiro from Okinawa Holiday Hackers.
Different from normal ice cream, “Gelato” which has the smooth texture and rich taste is also be loved by many of you, doesn’t it?
Today, I would like to introduce『H&B(Heart&Berry) Gela Okinawa』(H&B(ハート&ベリー) ジェラ沖縄) with Ganache Gelato. It is very popular among the okinawa likers♪
This shop is inside First Makishi Public Market where you can reach with a 3-minute walk from Street Kokusai-dori. You will not wanna miss it when you pass by.
The Gelato with “fresh” fruits kneaded into is so juicy and rich in flavor♪
Most of the ice cream or Gelato are made from frozen fruits, but Ganache Gelato in shop Gela Okinawa is totally different. The secret is the fresh fruits!
The staff will start to knead the fresh fruits into Gelato when the order comes. The fruits they use are seasonal and produced in Okinawa.
Moreover, you can enjoy the rich but fresh flavor of the gelato as no additives are used.
Here is the menu of all flavors!
Which one do you want to get?
I personally recommend the “Pineapple” flavor because it’s sweet and juicy. Besides, it’s also one of a very popular flavors in this shop. By the way, you can have a try of the flavor first and then make the decision if you’re not sure if you like it♪
There are also other flavors such as purple yam, mango, and other flavors with Okinawa-style for you to choose. Among these flavors, there is a special one that you probably can only find here. That is “Bitter Melon”.
You might doubt “Does the bitter melon fit to Gelato?” Actually they do fit to each other!! The Bitter Melon Gelato tastes refreshing and light which is also fit to other thick flavors.
This is actually a secret menu from Shop Gela Okinawa. According to their menu, they have Gelato from layer 2 to 4, but you can actually ask more scoops until a maximum of 9.
Of course Okinawa Holiday Hackers challenged 9 layers!
It’s not easy to make 9 layers for staff as well.
However, as a veteran, the shop owner made it perfectly.
I didn’t have time to watch the camera because I have to focus on not getting them dropping down…
After that, I shared this huge Gelato with Fiona Ishii who took charge of photographing today. It was sweet but not greasy at all. We completed having it finally♪
By the way, according to the pictures posted on Instagram, most of the customers chose 2~3 layers.
If you don’t know how many layers should you choose, please refer to the following pictures from Instagram. ▼
